Hartland Quay is one of my favorite places.
I woke up before dawn to be there at sunrise, waiting for the tide to recede to show the flysch blades emerging from the seabed…and eating a bag of chips for breakfast…
The perfect “flysch and chips” english style.
I think it was worth it.

It was early September, and I decided to wake up before dawn to be able to enjoy the sunrise from Knuthöjdsmossen nature reserve. I sat on the shore of one of the many lakes in the area, surrounded by a gentle mist, tasting the silence and absolute peace. I decided to shoot when the first rays of the sun cleared the sky. The composition, centered and symmetrical, wants to reflect the absolute stillness of that moment.
