After three years of waiting, and a careful evaluation of the weather forecast, I decided to return to this wonderful corner of paradise, not exactly close to home, taking advantage of a few days of “forced vacation”.
I think it was worth it.

Thanks to the heavy rainfall over the past week, the forest on the northern shore of Lake Santa Croce was once again flooded with water.
With great joy, I splashed in the water for a couple of hours before discovering this sequence of mossy willows finally rich of tender leaves.

Another shot from Punte Alberete nature reserve, a place I’m falling in love with: despite the harsh light I could not resist taking some shots.
This one is dedicated to my dear uncle Guglielmo that passed away some days ago.
I’m sure he is floating in the heavens like this coot in this little corner of paradise.

I spent two wonderful hours submerged in water almost up to my groin (this time, with proper boots), trying to find visual order in the chaos of vegetation grown on the shores of a small artificial lake near my home. I solved the problem of the chaotic reflections on the water surface by using a twenty-second exposure time while creating small artificial waves by moving my legs.
