Just more ice embroideries, taken in the same place as the previous posts, which has become a kind of winter playground for me.

I returned to the place where I took the previous photos hoping to find similar conditions, but eight days of mild temperatures turned those expanses of embroidered ice into a chaotic pile of shapeless ice flakes, in which I found challenging to succeed in finding a compositional balance. This is what I managed to achieve.

After several nights with temperatures below freezing, the shores of Lake Santa Croce in the Venetian prealps got covered with a thick layer of ice on which waves and wind embroidered the most complex patterns.
These “bubbled shapes” remind me of the Buddhist yin and yang symbol.
