Stuck at home in a dull winter, with no photgraphic outings planned anytime soon, I find myself dreaming of future trips and feeding on memories of past travels.
My longing in the last few months for woods, forests and trees, led me to rediscover this photo taken several years ago at Wistman’s Woods, in Dartmoor National Park.
And I find myself “gasping” at that delicious scent of earth, rain and moss that comes back to me at the memory of that place.

It was not easy, years ago, to find this little gem hidden in a gorge downstream of Venford reservoir dam, in Dartmoor national park. But, after several attempts, I managed to reach this little piece of Eden, and it was worth it.
